Got a question about Brexit? Ask Full Fact

23 November 2018 | Full Fact Team

Brexit is confusing. We all know it is, and everybody has something they’re struggling to get their head around. With politicians making claims that often directly contradict each other, and the news changing seemingly by the day, it can be almost impossible to keep up.

We’ve already written about many of the biggest topics: what the timeline for Brexit is, what the Irish backstop is, the difference between the withdrawal deal and future trade deal, the size of the divorce bill and the potential cost of extending transition. But we understand that with a subject as complicated as Brexit, there’s no way these will cover everything everyone might want to know.

So we want your questions.

Whichever side you end up on – or if you don’t have a side at all – you deserve the facts, and we want to make sure you have them. This is where you can ask the things you’ve always wanted to know, but were too afraid to ask. Think of it as a safe space! (You can ask anonymously if you want, and we won’t collect any details about you other than the name you choose to submit).

As we did for the referendum itself, we'll work with leading, impartial experts (like UK in a Changing Europe, and the Institute for Government’s Brexit team) to answer your questions and explain what’s going on. We can’t promise to answer every question we get, but we’ll publish every answer we write here on our website – so your question can help other people too.
