Looking for impartial information about the EU? Look no further

Talking about a survey of its members' attitudes to the EU referendum published today, the Federation of Small Businesses Policy Director commented:

"Regardless of what a firm's current position is, there is a shared message that small businesses feel they lack clear, impartial information on which to form their views."

It's not only businesses that feel this way. 55% of people in the UK said they disagreed or strongly disagreed that information available on the EU was simple and clear, in a survey of attitudes towards the EU in the UK conducted by the European Commission in 2010.

More recently, 67% of UK respondents said they felt people were not well informed about European matters, in another European Commission poll (5% said they didn't know and the remaining 28% felt they were well informed).
